Ella's Piano Recital

This is Ella's first piano recital.  She plays "In the Old Cornfield".  I thought that since I play the piano I could teach Ella and it would be a great bonding experience....nope!  She has been taking lessons from a "real" teacher since September.  I'm not going to say that she loves it, but I do see the satisfaction on her face when she realizes how far she has come.  She gets 2 private lessons each month and 2 group lessons each month.  I am pleased with how well she is doing.

Way to go!

1st Grade Program

Ella had a little part in her 1st Grade program the other day.  Great job Ella!

It was a great program with music and speaking parts based from a book, "I Like Myself".

Tumbling Video

Here it is!  This amateur still has some bugs to work out to get this right.  It was much more difficult for me than I had hoped.

Tumbling

Ella has taken tumbling for the last 2 years.  It has been fun for her.  Ella has improved a lot this year.  They had a Tumbling Review and added some dance moves which made Ella very happy.  Ella got a medal and had a great time.  They also did a "Miracle Minute" service project for a baby who had a stroke prior to birth.  The mother teaches tumbling. They played music for 1 minute and collected money to help their situation.  We were happy to help.

We attended our community Summer Reading Kickoff Party.  Now if only our summer would really start.....Ella doesn't get out of school until July 2nd!  Ouch!

Ella created her own dinosaur hat.  We are excited to go to the Natural History Museum of Utah this summer.

Ella loved sitting on this police motorcycle.  This event had a lot of hands on things to do and Ella had a great time.
